The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Buckhead Meat &amp; Seafood is a new processing and distribution center for beef, poultry, seafood, and prepared foods. The building includes production space, cold storage and freezer, warehouse and distribution areas, office and administration space, a commercial kitchen, locker rooms, and employee welfare facilities. The production area has a 27-ft clear height and is conditioned and dehumidified with massive hygienic units. The production areas, view corridors, and access areas use “box-in-box” cooler construction with a 15-foot clear height insulated metal panel ceiling. The remaining areas use the full height of the structure with the facility envelope acting as the freezer/cooler insulation systems, complete with vapor barrier. Special systems included food testing labs, chemical wash, high-pressure wash, food-grade air systems, chillers (fed from ammonia plant), chilled water system, battery charge for handling equipment, ice melt area with heated floors and boiler water. Construction also included parking, landscaping, and extensive site utilities.

The Idaho Milk Products Jerome Plant is a new construction dairy processing plant for processing, packaging, and distribution of milk derivatives to locations around the world. It is a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant capable of processing more than three million pounds of milk per day. The structure consists of concrete tilt-up panel walls, steel framing, and insulated metal panel skin. Inside the building, spaces include not only the processing and receiving areas, but also warehouse space and an administrative support facility. Interior finishes include office finishes, dairy tile, insulated metal panel ceilings, and walls in process areas; sealed concrete walls and galvanized structural steel in the dryer towers; and epoxy-coated steel in other wet process areas.
