The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. The Herriman Industrial Building is a new 239,383 square foot concrete tilt-up building for Bullfrog Spas with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Research &amp; Development, Office and Retail Showroom space all contained under one roof. It is a cross-dock building with loading docks and high-speed overhead doors at grade to maximize efficiency and flexibility for the user. The building utilizes clerestory windows and skylights to maximize natural daylight and has a 36’ clear height and large efficient column spacings to maximize the economy of the structure, while enhancing the flexibility of the interior space layout for the best manufacturing processes. The north end of the building features 60,000 square feet of Class-A Office space on two levels, with great expanses of glass to maximize views and the quality of the work environment.

The industrial market continues to grow in the Salt Lake Valley as a record number of projects were completed in 2017 and 2018. Growth in this market was primarily driven by large warehouse and distribution facilities including the $20.7 million Interstate-215 Commerce Center.
The project consisted of the construction of two concrete tilt-up warehouses for Hamilton Partners. The buildings were constructed for future tenant improvements on the west side of Salt Lake City. Building “A” is approximately 100,760 square-feet and Building “B” is approximately 371,600 square-feet (cumulative total is 472,362 sq ft).
